There is certainly plenty to keep passengers occupied at Seoul Incheon International Airport (ICN), within its two main terminal buildings and four concourse areas. The terminal buildings are linked to the Transportation Centre, where many of the passengers amenities are based.

Travellers with time on their hands can explore the wealth of shopping and dining opportunities, whilst taking advantage of the business services, information desks, banking facilities and Seoul tourism. For many, the Korean Culture Museum (Concourse 4F) is a particular highlight, with its exhibition of relics, traditional Korean art works and displays dedicated to Royal culture in this country.

The growth of Incheon Airport over the past decade has substantial, with 2011 marking the airport's tenth-year anniversary and a year when more than 200,000 flights took place.

Shops, Duty-Free and Retail Outlets


Seoul Airport has plenty in the way of shopping facilities, with more than 40 stores selling an enormous range of goods, including duty free items such as cigarettes, alcohol, perfume, cosmetics, jewellery, leather goods, clothes, toys and designer sunglasses. The Shilly Duty Free Shop, Family Mart, GS Books, Lotte Duty Free, Olive Young and Seven Eleven are particularly popular shops here.

Bars, Cafés and Restaurants


There are certainly a number of dining opportunities at Incheon, suiting passengers either looking for a fast-food fix or more leisurely sitdown dinner. Based within a public food court on the West Side, Global Chow is a popular buffet-style restaurant serving up Chinese, Korean, Japanese and Western-style dishes. If you prefer to stick with familiar chains, then you can choose between the likes of Burger King, KFC, McDonald's, Quiznos and Subway. For a quick cappuccino or latte, consider cafes such as Caribou Coffee, Coffee Bean, Gloria Jean's, McCafe, Pascucci, Starbucks and Tea Story.

Currency Exchange, Communications and Banking Facilities


There are four main banking branches located onsite - Hana Bank, the Korea Exchange Bank, Kookmin Bank and Shinhan, each of which provides general banking services, foreign exchange, wire transfers and travellers checks. Additional foreign currency exchanging is also available at the KB and KEB branches, while for travel insurance, pay a visit to either Chartis, LIG Insurance, Meritz or Samsung Fire and Marine. For advice of VAT refunds and other financial services, Global Blue (near gate 28) is the place to come.

Business amenities at Incheon Airport range from pay telephones, fax machines, photocopiers and work areas, to meeting rooms with catering, free access to the Internet for periods of up to 30 minutes and secretaries. There are two large business centres, the Diners Club International and the Paradise Business Centre, situated either side of the large Millennium Hall on the second floor - open daily between 08:00 to 20:00.

Disabled Facilities


The disables facilities at Seoul Airport include everything that you would expect - elevators, spacious adapted toilet cubicles, free wheelchair hire and assistance where necessary. Advance notification of any particular special needs will always be appreciated by your chosen airline.

Other Facilities


Other facilities at ICN include a lost property centre, with outstanding items catalogued and added to the website. Passengers will also find luggage storage areas close to check-in areas B and M of the third floor of the departures level, open between 07:00 to 20:00. If you have a postcard or parcel to send back home, then the post office (close to the Millennium Hall on the second floor) is open daily, between 09:00 to 18:00.
